I always used to think having a power outage that randomly goes away after beating the baddie was a retarded roadblock, especially when the city literally runs on solar power.
However a view point from a video by a youtuber called aleczandxr has changed my view on this. I've realized that perhaps the irony of a power outage in a solar powered town is intentional, and is meant to be symbolic of the darkness that shrouds over Sinnoh, due to the affairs of team galactic and their messing with the natural balance in the region. It would then make actual sense that beating them and stopping their plans and returning balance to Sinnoh would then fix this issue and restore power to Sunyshore.
I HIGHLY recommend this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3ewaW4SqPsIt's completely changed my outlook on the sinnoh games and made me see and appreciate the nuance and details that I didn't even know about before. I now FINALLY understand why everyone says sinnoh lore is the best.
He's not a poketuber either, so his pokemon related content is actually meaningful and insightful rather than lazy and shallow
