They were originally founded by a coalition of scientists who didn't like how dependent humanity was on Pokémon. It started out as a small group localized within the span of one region, but their influence grew more and more over time across the entirety of the planet. Soon it didn't just extend to scientists, but to anyone that their agents across the world scouted being discontent with the over-reliance on Pokémon. There were many reasons the various members of the society joined, but they all eventually got tired of living in the societies they no longer wanted to be a part of. All their members across the planet eventually traveled to a polar region at the far north of the world and started building highly advanced cities there. These cities were called Sectors by their people, and they wanted nothing to do with the local Pokémon in the region. The new generations born in this society were all conditioned to hate Pokémon both by their older mentors and by seeing how the fierce monsters of the region would often attack the sectors, whether it was to steal provisions or out of sheer malice for their new human neighbors.

Murdoch's people also created machines to help defend themselves from the wild Pokémon of their newly settled region, as trainers simply don't exist due to the beliefs of the people. In his tabletop setting, some look like certain Pokémon counterparts. Others... not quite so much. Yours sound like they had a more mystical approach to them, though. You have any more to show off?
