What if, when B2W2's World Tournament happens all champions from all the regions (included MC's) up to Unova got together in the world tournament, then suddenly another evil team emerges and makes Ultra Beasts appear? Even though they are more powerful individually, not even legendary Pokemon are powerful enough to contain the massive numbers of the beasts, and they end up falling one by one. In a last attempt, the MC's band together and go to Mt. Coronet, play the azure flute (assuming they got it from before) and Arceus wakes up. In a final climatic battle, they fight against the Ultra Beasts one last time, but end up being defeated (and probably dead). The Ultra Beasts wreak havoc in the world.
In the end, without strong trainers, Arceus uses the remainder of its power to reset the universe and a new timeline is made, where mega evolution is discovered and the events of XY, ORAS and SM take place.
