>>52271119I see your point, but I think what the other anon was getting at is Cinderace (as Scorbunny) was Goh's first Pokemon, just as Pikachu was Ash's, and Cinderace has a prominent place in a lot of official magazine and promotional art, even after Grookey was introduced. Cinderace is also, from my understanding, one of the most popular Gen 8 Pokemon.
If Goh stays for gen 9, the anime is likely going to give him new shouldermons to shill. There won't be room for Grookey, imo. That's why I think it will evolve, and when it does, it won't be a "baby" anymore, making it easier for it to integrate with the other park Pokemon.
