Either way in times like when your team gets obliterated and you need to grind back up having the ability to just go back to route 103 and turbo grind mons from 5-15 in 5 mins is SO fucking nice. Only reason I'd consider using VC / Hardware would be on a 'Catch Em All' game where i try to complete the dex just because I'm assuming they have it possible on VC / Hardware at this point while on emulators trading between gens is unsupported as far as I know. (It MAY be possible I've never tried. I feel like 1-3 would probably cooperate in mGBA but IDK about bringing anything from a GBA ROM into a DS ROM)
