I mean, I get it, but someone should tell GF/TPC that fungi aren't plants. The Poison type represents these living beings better than the Grass type does.
Also, some if not most of these fungi pokemon would be improved by having the poison type instead
>Morellul/Shiinotic would be some of the few pokemon with such unique typing, Poison/Fairy
>Parasect would no longer have the worst defensive typing ever
>Toedscruel would no longer have a 4x weakness
>Brute Bonnet could've had the amazing Poison/Dark instead of the "I die by one U-Turn" typing
>Breeloom actually might be better as a Grass type but still doesn't make sense (in fact, nothing about this pokemon makes sense concept-wise, but he is cool regardless)
But the one that makes me upset the most is Shiinotic. It has a cool, almost alien-look design that really captures the idea of a fungus and a fantasy-like creature with those soft colors and bumps around it... BUT IT HAS A DOUBLE WEAKNESS TO POISON WHEN THESE PLANTS IN REAL LIFE ARE MOSTLY POISONOUS.
>It had the chance the be the first of its kind with that Poison/Fairy typing
>Would get neutral damage from Poison
>Toxic and Spore beacuse why not
But in reality, it is nothing but an extremely worse version of Amoongus that was even outclassed by Parasect
