>>22604058Even though Thunder Punch should hardly be representative of Dedenne's true power (it doesn't even use the attacking stat he's good in), for some reason it just /feels/ more powerful whenever he uses it, especially as a final resort.
"Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...." Dedenne stands back and whips up his cuddly little pudgy ham-ham fist, powering it with sparks of electricity. As he does this, Talonflame draws closer, his talons sharp and beak flaring.
"Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......"
The one other time Dedenne used this move wasn't too long ago, actually. It was on Siebold's Barbaracle, and although it wasn't the match-winning move, it certainly did enough substantial damage to carry you to the goal. There's no harm in using it again.
"TAAAALOOOOOOOOOO!"
Talonflame slams into Dedenne with tremendous force just like before, only to discover that things aren't exactly the same. With seconds ticking by with no impact, the falcon opens his eyes and discovers that he isn't moving, locked into a struggle.
He soon discovers why.

Despite the amount of unbelievable strength he's putting into Flare Blitz, Dedenne is somehow resisting it all and refuses to be instantly launched by the attack, instead holding him back by the beak with his free paw.
"T-Tal?"
The other one, wrapped in a veil of static electricity, is at full-power and aimed directly for his plump underside. Wasting no time, Dedenne uses Thunder Punch and sends a single walloping uppercut up Talonflame's underside.
"T-TA--"
Talonflame explodes. No, really.
