>>37825576Those aren't contradictions. If someone goes 3 to 6 turns setting up their attack/special attack without being punished for it, that's your fault. If someone goes three to six turns setting up their evasion because you got unlucky and couldn't hit them while they set up, that's bad luck and uncompetitive. The reason evasion boosting is a bad move early on is because the chances of benefiting from those boosts before a certain point are dismally low.
You can't seem to comprehend that evasion's usefulness is entirely dependent on context and that it's too inconsistent to be any good for competitive play. I'm sorry you don't have the brainpower to understand this, and I've grown sick of your circular logic on the matter. You could say you've done a good job at evading any sense of reason. Perhaps this is how you get your fix since you can't use it competitively?
>And how much fun is having your entire team being swept by a sweeper that you know your team cannot beat in speed/power? And that is perfectly legal, the only time they get banned is when they dominate the meta, and not because they sweep the entire opponent team when they work. At least against evasion you have a chance of fighting back.About the same amount of unfun, albeit over more quickly thanks to the nature of sweepers in general. Uselessly flailing at a foe for however many turns is by far the worse fate. Why do you think stall is so hated around here? Also those overcentralizing sweepers only get so prevalent because they make it much easier to sweep whole teams. Which, again, falls under "works too well".
I'm done here, kindly go fuck yourself.
