Manga’s main strengths
>Able to take one-note characters from the games and breathe new life into them, often making them even better than their main counterpart (XY friends, Giovanni, Lysandre, etc)>Thanks to the nature of Pokémon, a lot of room for creative battles and unique strategies that can take even a seasoned veteran by surprise.>Distinct main characters with lots of chemistry and interesting character dynamics, allowing for more fun to be had and compelling storybeats>Artwork is consistently pretty good, baring the backgrounds being faded out over time.Main weaknesses.
>Due to the nature of Pokémon as a franchise and having to juggle multiple arcs, a lot of potentially interesting story beats and character development have to be cut short in order to segway into the next region>Due to the sheer number of characters present in the game, a lot of them have to be sidelined or have their character beats rushed, which cuts down on their potential.>Some odd characterization choices here and there.>Backgrounds continually getting faded out as the series goes on, which can make the action hard to read at times
