So I'm using this team for Doubles in HG's BF. My Goal is to get "Gold" equivalent streaks in all 4 Halls.
I already got "Gold" equivalent in the Battle Hall with my 2 Jolly Garchomps; then I used this team to get a streak of 54 in the Castle.
I lost to a team full of water/ice, which my team is weak to (along side Ghost to a lesser extent); I knew my team was weak to that and I could just have hit "pass" as I had 700+ CPs left; but since I hadn't hit pass once I just wanted to fight.
Anyway - I just lost close to Gold, fight 46, in the Arcade: Donphan, Ninetales, Vaporeon.
Scared that Ninetales could do a speedy Confuse Ray on my Metagross, and since Vaporeon is a semi threat to both Garchomp and Charizard, I decided AGAINST the usual first turn Protect+Explosion pattern.
Little did I know Donphan had Fissure and it'd hit TWICE. I should just have exploded...

Anyway - this team is pretty good at cheesing 3vs3 Double battles.
Start with Explosion+Protect, and then it's usually 2vs1; then Charizard is immune to Garchomp's EQ, and, whenever Garchomp doesn't finish off the last mons by himself, has the choice between 2 moves which hit both opponents, or for security 100acc Dragon Pulse (in non-arcade halls I use the wide lens for him though), or take the bet with Focus Blast.
Even against Steel/Rock mons, Explosion takes away tons of HP (some of them like Scizor die outright too), so that they're usually finished off quickly on the next turn.
Like I said the only threats are Ghosts/Ice/Water; which is where Garchomp's Crunch matters, to dipose of Ghosts before using Explosion; and where Charizard's Focus Blast and Heat Wave can shine.
This team would have few chances past the 50 streak mark; but my goal IS exactly that mark, in all Halls, so I think it'll manage.
Explosion is pretty fun
