X&Y were way too easy to provide any thrill, and too much of a step down story from Gen V to be enjoyable.
ORAS could have been good if the difficulty was dramatically increased and the Battle Frontier had been present. Dexnav was really neat, flying on Lati@s was neat, and the extra lore was a respectable improvement over the fairly lackluster RS. The game is entirely salvageable because of this, but the lack of any challenge makes the main story boring, and the lack of an expandable postgame beyond a 10 minute Ride-To-Mega-Fug™ gives me nothing to look forward to upon forcing myself through the snore of a plotline. Really, the ONLY things ORAS would need to be good would be a Battle Frontier and about +10-20 levels to every enemy trainer's Pokemon, and full teams to Gym Leaders / E4 Members.
