I decided that it wasn't worth grinding for Giovanni and took his team on with everyone in the low forties and while I won, I suffered two hard losses, Vappy and Nido. RIP Winesap and Russet. This, of course, left me with two more big holes in my team. The easy Vaporeon sub is Tentacruel from the lucky Tentacool capture I got, but Nido is a bit of a harder sub. My only real decent option ended up being the Geodude I caught ages ago in the Rock Tunnel (I was avoiding using him as Geodude is a pretty good early mon for Crystal but... oh well). I decided to just deal with it and grind everyone to 50 so I could at least stand a chance in VR. I'll be facing my penultimate rival fight soon. Wish me luck.
