On one hand I don't think Ash needs to be running around with meme shitmons or anything, but the anime is such a great opportunity to show off different Pokemon than...Pokemon we've literally seen over and over again. Between this and 3 starters I'm honestly not sure which is worse, for the record I think his XY and Hoenn teams were really good with Unova as a runner up with how varied it got.
I think pic related is the peak of the anime making Pokemon that would languish in obscurity seem cool, this dude was cracked.
