The crowd gasped again.
"The scriptures merely mentioned how the birds comically resembled penguins. They were not actually Piplups. However, despite this, they still managed to survive to this day, on this island, with the assistance of the Efixir I brought up earlier. By sharing this artifact amongst their people, a small trickle at a time, they were able to preserve their people for the next few millenniums. After all, nothing was ever said that you had to drink a certain amount of Efixir to sustain health for the rest of your life. They shared the bottle in droplets, one you had a sip, that was enough, you were set for life."
"Unfortunately. Due to circumstances regarding the separation of Skypia, the people ironically never gained intelligence. They actually were set BACK, de-evolving until they were completely stupid, and unable to preserve records of their former selves, leaving them in a standstill."
I found myself interrupted by Floatzel.
"Oh yeah? Well if you're so smart, then if those wise guys weren't Piplups, then who were they?!"
I smiled again, "
You're looking right at them."
Everyone turned to the Fletchling tribe, absolutely shocked.
"The people you see before you, ARE THE FORMER PEOPLE OF SKYPIA! Ridden with amnesia over the millenniums, they have forgotten their former selves, these people have lasted YEARS of torment, and now they live, having never achieved their goal of technological advancement. They live like....like...cannibals. And if it weren't for THIS, I wouldn't have realized that."
I took out the Cylinduava, causing the Fletchlings for, reasons that they could not comprehend, to suddenly bow down to me.
They bowed repeatedly, treating me as if I were some sort of god. All it was in reality was a cylindrical shaped artifact and yet, I was treated like their ruler.
"Are you ready for the next bombshell?"
