I've always been surprised Johto-era Misty didn't take off a bit more, just by simple proxy of being an official older take on the franchise first unofficial leading lady in the sequels to the original games. (Sure she enters, loses, and exists in about 10 minutes but so most Gym Leaders, you kind of ignore that to have a thread like this.)
