Cats can have many attributes, but saying that they are even close to favoring feminine traits is absurb (consider large cats, wild cats, or any cat that isn't anorexic). The same goes for dog. I see no reason for any dog to be exclusively male or female, including Dobermann or bulldog breed. While some, such as these have semi-exaggerated qualities due to natural selection, none are exclusively masculine or feminine. Compare that to the attention to detail in the creation of Lopunny: the arched back, the fluffy yet mostly slim figure, the fluff around its digits and on its ears, the smooth face with small and minimal features outside large eyes (and arguably large eyebrows), pointed feet, large thighs, etc. These's traits are exaggerated to the point of absurdity, making seem less like an animal, and more of a humanization of animals, which I'm not a fan of.
