>>43485971Shiftry has 100/90 offenses, he isn’t strictly a physical grass type. He backs sunny day/solar beam and honestly the physical attack is there for extra flexibility in game if someone wanted to run different coverage.
Dark types are very offensive in gen 3, none are defensive stat-wise. Many have great and unique defensive utility though. They are all very well designed in my opinion, they just don’t always have a place on teams
>shiftrySunny day/synthesis/solar beam with chlorophyll makes it specifically a sun based Pokémon meant to support fire types and offensives check waters for the team
>sableyeJust about every utility move you could want with very good stall tactics and 3 immunities, but can also function as a calm mind sweeper due to this unique defensive typing
>mightyenaMediocre physical attacker at first glance with surprising support role visibility in intimidate, roar, swagger, and taunt as well as an early attack boosting move
>cacturne Strong offenses but with a defensive and support type move pool which lends itself to sand teams, once again becoming a check to water types for the team which will actively benefit from sand
>crawdaunt Straightforward physical boosting attacker with great coverage in water, fighting, normal and ice
>sharpedoOnly dark type with access to earthquake that you can catch in RSE, and packs good coverage for the major fights. Has support options for sacrificial lead potential like scary face, taunt, and swagger
>absolHuge physical attack power with amazing special coverage and some unique options like perish song baton pass. Swords dance and double team by level up
