He represented the Pokémon franchise PERFECTLY (being the trainer that fights with his Pokémon), even better then Pikachu and that says a lot.
They could've added a Mega Ring to mega evolve Charizard and simply use that as a final smash instead of Triple finish.
Hell they could've added the same feature they did with Animal Crossing and Wii Fit Trainer: choosing the gender of preference.
Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that Charizard is back, but Pokémon trainer suits it so much better as a representative for the franchise.
