The Elite Four is cool but I actually like that Sword and Shield did a tournament instead. Still didn't buy it though. Since a lot of people wish Pokemon was more difficult would you like it if they combined the two concepts? Introduce some or all of the Elite Four throughout the game and tell the player they'll be participating in the Pokemon league as a matter of course?
Then between each Elite Four member, the player runs a gauntlet of trainers, unable to heal until after they beat the Elite Four member, thereby turning the Elite Four into pseudo-champions and every trainer before them into a sort of pseudo Elite Four?
