>>41912286I'm still wrapping my head around this mess.
>normie friends and family IRL didn't buy it, though I think my cousin still might when the price goes down>game looks somewhere between ass and mediocre>the only people I know online who bought it are a few people on Twitter, and they're the "tee hee, Sobble is soooo cute!" type, or unironically did the "bought both copies to spite the dexitardocelweebs" thing>I canceled my plans to buy a Switch over it, including canceling some Christmas plans>Metacritic critic scores are up, but mostly due to reviewers who can't say anything good about the game but "there are new Pokemon, it's on the Switch, there are online features, and my starter is so cute">Metacritic user scores>Store shelves are packed with unsold copies, and are loaded with used copies, if applicable, even during the Black Friday rushFrom everything *I* can personally see, the games sold like ass.
All this and apparently the games still sold like hotcakes, shattering records like crazy, moving Switches, etc., etc.
If it's selling so crazy, why does it /look/ like it's not? Why is TPC going on this massive witchhunt to try to make up for lost sales due to the leakers? Why isn't the anime set in Galar?
