Employers also avoid hiring legal workers to start with even if they do want to when illegal workers are available for obvious reasons
It's like tech and office layoffs, make hundreds of roles redundant while hiring a bunch of different roles offshore in india but restructured so they're different jobs but collectively cover the same tasks when combined together to get around unions etc over here.
