It's funny, I started thinking about Pochama today before I even pulled up /vp/ and now the whole thread is talking about DP.
I really want to watch it over again subbed. The Japanese cast does a much better job and I think I really resented DP for the awful post-4Kidz English dub, Ash's lowest winrate of any season, and the absolute horseshit that was Ash's final league match for the season.
Whenever I look back at the English dubbing of the most recent seasons and find that the scripting is still as bland and Engrish as possible. The voice actors have slightly improved but the scripts are still terrible. The Vanity Fair video proved how cheap and lazy the new dubbing system is, they really do just take the first or second take and don't give a fuck about how well it flows or doesn't.
