>>41257495Please stop posting that inbetween frame as if it were a legitimate argument against its design, anon. Most of your arguments hold little to no weight against the design because they only speak about your preferences (or the viewpoints of others) as if they held any say in the point of the design, actually.
>ugly scrunched up faceLiterally just your opinion. The face is perfectly fine. If you compare skull and jaw shape with other frog pokemon, you'll realize that Greninja's head physiology is actually the closest to a real frog.
>its one design hook (the tongue scarf) looks ridiculous in the games and in certain scenes of the animeSaying it can SOMETIMES look odd when not properly displayed is also not an argument. When properly portrayed it looks fine, adds a memorable design flare and also adds a nice complimentary color contrast.
>it is extremely overrated because of all the forced shilling.Another non-argument. You are judging other's opinions on the design as if they bore any weight on the design itself.
If you wanted parts of its design that can reasonably be scrutinized, you have the prominent spoilers on its head which are Gamefreak's go-to design choice when wanting to make something seem "Speedy" even if it's unfitting, like in Sceptile and Greninja (which have as many arguments in their favor as they do against them, like Frogadier already having them and certain species of frogs having similar horn-like head projections), and the too on-the nose shuriken marks on its legs.
>>41259558Based, if it weren't for the lousy battling system, this would be my favorite monster collecting RPG. It was so big and beautiful. It goes to show it helps not only to know WHAT you intend to do, but also HOW to do it. It had both the Brains and the Brawns.
