I have no idea what you're talking about, Lyra buffs crit and gives Lance a small amount of special attack through out the fight. I'm doing like 8-9k throughout the fight and it works well, I was one shotting the sides and 2 shot the center.
It's not as confusing as you're making it out to be. Plenty of teams that use SS Blue for example to raise their special attack never actually max it out and it stays around +4, which still works perfectly fine.
