To put their "balance philosophy" in perspective, they included Machamp, Sawk, Throh, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Conkeldurr, and Passimian, plus the three new mono-Fighting Pokemon, Falinks, Grapploct, Sirfetch'd. The whole idea that they would "curate" the Pokedex? It was a naive hope. They just don't care.
