Way back in Advanced Generation, it was revealed that Agatha of the Kanto Elite Four had taken over as temporary Viridian Gym Leader until a new permanent leader arrived. Would really be nice to follow up on this and see if there is a new permanent leader. Does the Indigo League in the anime even know that a former Gym Leader, Giovanni, is the head of Team Rocket?
Also want to see reappearances from all of Ash's old companions and primary rivals. With Misty and Brock returning in SM there's no excuse not to. Special mention goes to Max who I don't think has had a single line of dialogue since the end of AG in 2006. Of course given Ash's new appearance we might regret seeing any of his companions again.
I would love to see Janine, the Sinnoh Frontier Brains or any of the Elite Four members who have not yet appeared in the anime but I doubt any of them will appear.
