>autistic stuff you do in-gameI like to build my team loosely ahead of time, space out my captures, and try not to worry about type matchups as really any team can complete the story. I try to find a nickname not based on any naming scheme that fits them perfectly, which sometimes takes hours, and I try to catch ONLY pokemon that I never intend to box. So I like to catch only 6 pokemon and whatever else I have to catch like HM slaves or legendaries. I try not to catch what everyone else uses for a run and go with slightly less common choices. Shinies go on the team until the Champion no matter what they are; most recently a shiny Gloom I ran into halfway through Alpha Sapphire. Became Vileplume, I love her so much.
Extra autism: Usually if I get halfway through a run and I dislike my team I'll find myself restarting the game. I hate it about myself.
Current team in Sun is Dartrix, Shelgon, Araquanid, Salandit, and I just caught a Klink from Island Scan. I have one more catch planned in Poni (Midnight Lycanroc which is hard to come by in Sun) and that will be my completed team for the rest of the game, nicely spaced out and all capable of being good (in-game, at least). Really tickles my autism. I love my bros.
