if people are still stuck for ideas, why not try for a kangaroo mascot pokemon. theres no way i'm going to allow aus to pass up making a kangaroo pokemon i've not seen them around that much.
in regard to pic related, unless everyone thinks all of these designs are perfect, there is something you can do. pic ONE(its hard when people make a list of problems to fix all at once on different mons) and try make it better.
