I created another thread yesterday asking what could've done to nerf Dragon type w/o adding Fairy, and the final consensus was to expand on Season System: not only special events/battles happen, more Pokémon of underrated types like Grass and Ice would be added as season-exclusives (just like in Gen 2/HGSS with Day/Night exclusive wild ones), and more, Seasons would buff STAB of certain types, like Spring offering 1.75x power to Grass type moves (or 2.25x in Adaptability's case) and Winter offering the same bonus to Ice type moves.
