I stopped playing at gen 3 because my parents didn't buy me a Nintendo DualShock so I only played the later Pokemon games on an emulator.
Being the busy Boomer that I am, that has very little time for games, I sped them up to 400%-1000% until I reached the Elite 4, even then it felt really slow so I found myself need to hit the speed up toggle still! Haha!
Recently, I've gotten into Pokemon Battle Simulator! Imagine that! Not having to grind for Eevees and Ivys or breeding the right nature of Pokemon and getting to battle them! Best of all, it's free!
I have to DuckDuckGo most Pokemon types and stats past generation III to see if they're Physical or Magical attackers and their stats so I know what kind of Attacking Moves to use on them! I have trouble remembering Pokemon Stats past gen III because I speed up the games on an Emulator. A typical 60 hour journey to the Elite 4 ends up being 12 hours in real time which means you tend to remember less compared to playing the games on the original platforms!
