You can revisit older games all you like but fans should resign to the fact they won't be making games like those old ones anymore. They simply wouldn't sell. That's the main "issue" about portraying Awakening as bad, just because it doesn't correspond to your old design expectatives. It was a great new experience that began a new phase for the franchise that's borderline experimental.
