I mean before people would laugh at you for not wanting to gen up a 3IV+ pokemon, nowadays people will laugh at you for pretending anything under 4IVs is worth shit. Even a smelly casual like me can produce pentaperfect pokemon in a relatively short amount of time because people will happily hand you their near-perfect rejects for use as breeding stock.
Not to mention that there's plenty of people(including myself) totally willing to use genned pokemon to breed legitimate ones, which is like using steroids on parents so their children will be born with massive muscles while still passing the piss test.
