Why do fanboys think that just because something bad happened in the past we should tolerate it in the future? If Gen 1 has a bunch of uninspired designs, then isn't that confirmation that people should call out this franchise for laziness and crap art direction no matter the generation?

Even the show must've known how bland she was given that Dawn and Iris had date episodes with Ash actually spending time with them but Seren's date episode was Ash away from her all day looking for a gift.
