unfortunately i promised so here it is
There's a certain serene calmness that's filling the air tonight; the sun is hanging on the edge of the horizon, while the wind is blowing gently across the sea, bringing the scent of the ocean along with it. It's all a bit too calm, honestly; you've been fishing out on this dock for hours on end now, without a single bite. Normally the fish would be swarming at this time of year, but there's nothing—nothing whatsoever.
Regardless, it's getting a bit late, and there's dinner—fresh out of the oven—waiting for you inside your summer cottage. It may not be the roast Magikarp you were hoping for, but even while you're this far away from home, you can smell it like you were standing right there in the kitchen; it's like a beacon that's calling out to you.
As you stand up and turn away from the dock, the sound of something starting to bubble and ripple underneath the surface of the water catches your attention. Well, it looks like there is some life in the ocean after all! It's hard to see through the murky water—the commotion isn't making it easier either—but there's definitely something thrashing around down there. It's huge; it can't just be a Magikarp, but what else?
The sound quickly turns into something far less cacophonic as you stand there, watching the water intently. There's definitely some rhythm and melody to the chaos that's taking place below the surface; it actually sounds somewhat like a song—a song that's loud enough to vibrate the wooden slats of the pier that you're standing on.
Dropping down to your knees, you put your ear up to the boards; sure enough, you can hear it, as clear as day—a chorus coming from beneath the depths, like multiple voices all harmonizing with each other.
