>>43370665>The downside is Pokemon has some of the worst fucking lore imaginable. This, absolutely this. The presence of weird lore shit in Pokemon is largely why I even had interest in an OC, but it feels like you have to go full headcanon mode on anything remotely interesting.
Which is especially fun for me, as my own autism about headcanons makes me loathe working them into a setting. I feel like I could deal with part of my OCs lack of direction by trying to recreate my old fan region and exploring ideas there, but then I'd gag every time I thought about sharing them on a Tibetan sand mandala shaping forum. Well, either that or wait and hope TPC/GF/whoever decides to expand on shit like you already said.
>>43370925Personally I think "actually a normal person" could be a fresh enough departure from a series with odd and flamboyant (sometimes, extremely so) personalities, although I could see how it might be dull in comparison. But then again, you could make feeling inadequate or plain compared to her more... eccentric peers her thing in you want something for your future players to deal with outside of battling (she's a Gym Leader as well, right?).
>>43371409I THINK I've seen that username floating around with pics of Ming Ming on twitter, so probably some gallery of pics. Dunno why they brought it up unprompted though.
