I used to think the red markings on top of Armaldo's head were its eyes and the white things on the side were just more flipper looking things like it has on its neck. Same with Anorith and thinking the round things on the side of its head were weird antenna instead of eyes, and the red markings were eyes. I liked it better how my kid brain interpreted it.
