>>13157249I think it has to do with the pressure sensitivity on sai and my wacom tablet. you need to add layers and pressures towards your brushes. I think the type of brushes you use also has to do with blending. I found a brush setting on sai that reacts exactly like acrylic paint.

If you're on a budget and wanna start to get serious with coloring with color pencils, buy prismacolor scholars. I saw a pack of 12 colors for 10$, that's cheap compared to the prismacolor premier that i have. a pack of 12 of premiers is 22$. The reason why scholars are cheaper is because the wax is not as smooth as the premiers but still blends pretty well. as to the scholars not being very smooth, the colors will not be as vibrant and beautiful as the premiers as well.
