It's a season pass. You are buying unknown content.
When Byleth was announced, smash-spergs on /v/ went insane because they didn't get what they wanted, which they should have known before buying unknown content.
Both Smash's and Pokemon's DLC is awful for different reasons.
Pokemon's problem is that Gen 8 had the least content of any mainline Pokemon game, even though they charged you more for it then previous gens. And now they want you to buy DLC to make the game feel complete? Fuck that. At least Smash felt like a complete game without the predatory season pass.
