Played every main pokémon game since then, including Colosseum and GoD.
My favs are Gold/Silver/Crystal+HGSS and BW/BW2.
I think SM are good, have some nice ideas but TOO many cutscenes and the trials were badly executed, nothing too memorable. USUM are garbage since they are less than a third version, they are literally SM in a different packaging.
LGPE are trash and are the first mainline games I'm not gonna buy at all.
Still, I think there are some good ideas like pokémon in the overworld, and the return of following mons + you can ride them.
