DID YOU KNOW?
4chan.org has a feature that allows you to filter threads with specific keywords (think of them as triggers for all you Tumblr users out there)!
Simply go to the 'Catalog' of any board (a handy link is available just above and to the left of the new thread/reply form!) and then, click on the 'Filters' link next to the three drop boxes on the top right of the Catalog.
Here's where it gets a little trickier, but still quite easy and once you do it yourself you will understand how it works! Tick the 'On' box on your first filter. This means it will be active as soon as you are finished.
Next, you will see a blank box named 'Pattern'. Pattern means the word or phrase you would like filtered. Type it in there (in this case, 'Showderp' is the Pattern you would like to filter).
The next box is for the board you would like this filter to be active on. Simply type the name of the board (b, lgbt, an, fit etc. No slashes needed) in here.
Now, if you want to GET RID of all threads with your specified filter forever, having them hidden from your view at all times, tick the 'Hide' box. The 'Top' box is for moving your filtered threads to the front of the Catalog for easy access.
And there you have it! You have created a filter! Now you have no need to see these threads you dislike and have no reason to complain about their existence!
You can create another filter by clicking the 'Add' button at the bottom left of the filter manager.
BE SURE TO CLICK 'SAVE' AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE FILTER MANAGER, OTHERWISE YOUR FILTERS WILL NOT WORK!
