Hi, this is Mega-Pidgeot.
Mega-Pidgeot has a great ability, fantastic speed and a very good special attack. But sadly Mega-Pidgeot is useless. See, it cannot hold any item, thus limiting its power and has a very shallow special movepool.
So I'd go back to Pidgeot. In an alternate dimension where GF didn't cast that plague that is megaevolution upon us, with the launch of generation VI they did a severe retcon of the pokédex. The type charts has now finally a balance, every pokémon has an ability which actually makes it more useful, the BST of every pokémon has been fixed and every pokémon has its own niche. They do not all sweep like that damn frog and there are obvious differences between them (you wouldn't put a lion and a squirrel in a cage, would you?) but every pokémon can be used (some of them got an evolution in an GENIV fashion).
In this dimension Pidgeot stats are 80/40/80/110/80/110, its ability is No Guard and it can learn Blizzard, Vacuum Wave and Ominous Wind.
Like every other pokémon its remade around its strength and has an unique type-ability-stats combination, and it can hold an item too!
So any more proof that we need THIS and not fucking mega-evolution?
