It was actually a very jewish thing to turn this shit into an actual virtue. You can still see traces of this in the old testament, where they portrayed the kingdoms of israel and more importantly judah as meek little lambs being bullied by the great empires of their time. Of course, this only happened when they got their asses kicked. It's one of the oldest examples of crying out as they strike you and coping afterwards. Their seething about Babylon for example made its way into contemporary culture, as part of some expressions if nothing else.
I take it you've seen all this shit before though, if that's why it gets tiresome. I've only seen a few screenshots last year, and after seeing the entire thing now, I dunno how you actually read all that shit without going nuts.
