>>41007543>In fact, the franchise as a whole has been declining in total sales with each generation. Factually untrue.
Are you trying to blow yourself the fuck out on purpose, do you want me to embarrass you further by straight up posting the numbers?
Gen 6 and 7 both sold millions more than gen 4 and 5. This is non debatable. In fact, gen 6 as a whole sold about 10 million more than gen 5.
>There's lots of casuals completely ignorant of the cuts and their extent, and many others who just don't comprehend what the dex cuts truly mean for the franchise.Who are these casuals anyway? Do you even play competitively nigger? Because I do and a good 95% of competitive players are more excited for this gen than any other in recent memory.
Do you think of yourself as a non casual because you like a Pokemon game which has a slightly more expansive post game? Is that what you're wrongly using the word casual about? Because lol, that's like telling a professional starcraft player that he's a casual because he hasn't played through all the story missions in the single player game.
>It's gonna be a slow, painful decline.I've just educated you on why that's wrong though. Pre-order sales are sky high for this game, more so than we had for XY, SM and even that abomination LGPE. Every game recently has sold more than the DS era games.
You are aware that USUM has now outsold BW2 as well, right? SM passed BW forever ago as well.
The amount of people crying about this dex shit and >muh tree is so laughably small that gamefreak has outright came out, twice now, and stated 'tough shit, the nat dex isn't coming back in future games. period'.
Pre-bank X&Y was peak competitive scene too. Far bigger and better variety of Pokemon to use than when you have the full dex and see the same 4 pokemon on every team in every tier.
