>>49183132Before I fight Cynthia, I end up having to scramble somewhat- I was planning to put Giga Drain on my Wormadam, and maybe teach my Togekiss Dazzling Gleam. However, it turns out I actually forgot to pick up both TMs when I prepared for the league! I need to come up with some other plan. No longer can I safely set up on Spiritomb like I was planning to. I make some changes to Togekiss's moveset, throw Ice Beam on Trixie in case she needs to finish off Garchomp.
Finally, I replace Waterfall with Strength on Brit. If my Bibarel is going to try any type of sweep, it can't be using a solo-attacking moveset that Gastrodon stops cold with Storm Drain, and that Milotic can tank for years.
I also discover, to my great annoyance, that Venom Drench only works on poisoned mons. I used a Heart Scale to relearn this because nerfing both attack stats and speed seemed like a really good option. Now I'm annoyed I didn't grab Stun Spore instead. Or that I didn't keep Synthesis or Dazzling Gleam. But I really don't have any useful TM for my Roserade, so Saria will have to make do with what she has(I did have more Rest TMs, I suppose I could have used those).
>Vs Cynthia(Part 1) >Spiritomb Eagle(w/Leftovers) sets up Light Screens, Subs, and Air Slashes Spiritomb down slowly but surely, healing damage incurred with Rests.
I'm so happy Spiritomb never quite entered Full Restore range.
>RoseradePretty happy to still have my Substitute here. I'm worried most of my teams can't soak too many hits from this thing, so I wanted to be able to get some free damage in.
Sludge Bomb annihilates the Sub, but Air Slash puts Roserade in the yellow.
I send Phoenica in for free on the next Sludge Bomb.
Shadow Ball does some good damage, but Roserade falls to Psychic.
