Wake down, just as planned. He was kind enough to send Floatzel in against Rotom, so I didn't have to switch to eat a move. The Crunch definitely would have 2HKO'd, but Thunder sent that fucker packing. And then Vergil cleaned up the Quagsire. A very smooth run, honestly, doesn't even compare to Black so far. The sheer number of encounters and relative power of available Pokemon seems to make Platinum better overall.
Granted, I still have the Celestic Cyrus fight, the entire Mt. Coronet debacle, a couple of Barry fights, and the E4 gauntlet, but at least the game is nice enough to let you get a team set up before fucking you.
