XY is in a similar boat. Its just too obvious how GF was crunching to focus on the gear project. Megas are the only real bet for nostalgia but you won't even see most till post game. Good distribution isn't gonna hype people up, while the story and characters lack any charm. ORAS might fair better if it weren't stuck in an endless but is it better than gen 3 tho.
