how does one ACTUALLY measure "difficulty" of a pokemon game? it's a turn-based RPG, so there's no mechanical execution requirements like in a platformer or soulslike or fps or something, it's pure decision making. considering how many options are available to you, the player, how do we decide which ones count towards difficulty and which ones don't? 95% of challenge in these games is self-imposed - no game ever said you HAVE to use all shitmons, or never use pokemon centers, or whatever bullshit youtube challenge is popular, but someone who does is going to have a harder time than someone who doesn't off principle.
