It'll have brand new HD graphics, loads of gameplay changes, upgrades and plenty of new features, plus it will be on a new console, making it seem like a new Generation, except it won't have any new Pokemon in it (maybe new regional forms for non-Kanto Pokemon in Kanto?) and it'll be full of Alola references. When asked about it, Masuda and Ohmori will shrug and say they "wanted to continue to surprise players! *laughs*".
After the announcement, /vp/ will shitpost for a year straight about not wanting to go back to Kanto again and "GEN SEVEN POINT FIVE" until it comes out. Then they'll act surprised that it's so shit upon release even though they had been bitching about it since its announcement. It'll be a hit among normies and all subsequent Pokemon games in the future will have even more Kanto pandering than gens 6 or 7.
