Gastrodon makes funny noises, always has a vacant stare on its face, is 2'11" and 60 lbs, and seems extremely loyal. It's a dog. I'll admit that I'm a cat person, but gastrodon would be the coolest dog ever, and I can never snuggle up next to it and pet it behind its appendeges, nor can I fill a tub with water for it to splash in and make happy noises. I will never have a slimy companion lay next to or on top of me, and it'll never be able to fetch a ball, slithering at full speed and taking a long time to get it, very happy when it finally returns. Gastrodon is a pokemon I wish was real, or even had more merch- it's one of the best pokemon in VGC time and time again but everywhere I look it's relegated to obscurity and this is an injustice. The world needs to see the sea slug for what it is- the bestest, cutest goober- cuter than pikachu, better than tyranitar.
