in a time slightly later from whence we left off, we return. By now, Hairdo had a plan. He was going to bring Tex and Daga to the doctor, and reunite with his team. It just felt... wrong, to keep going after Snorkel himself, especially without any real idea of where the Patrat could've gone. So, instead, he picked up Daga and began escorting her and Tex as he'd decided. While the escort mission commenced, Hairdo and Tex got to know each other. Daga would sometimes chime in with a joke, and the pair would laugh, but the trip otherwise went smoothly- save for the occasional stops for some training.
Upon returning to his team, however, Hairdo was immediately met with a strong hug from Tea- who immediately began blubbering about how thankful he was for saving them. Hairdo took the opportunity to take all the credit- only for Daga to chime in and correct him, leading to some playful irritation between the two. Tex was there giggling the whole time, as was Sylvia.
And Sylvia! She, along with the other now-rested members of the group, quickly took to praising Hairdo and Daga, seriously and not (Hannah was still joking, because when is she not). Even Pillow, despite the fact that she was noticeably on-edge.
This playful atmosphere continued as everyone made their way towards Nimbasa City. By now, navigating the sandstorm was second nature to most of them, so getting to the city was hardly much of an issue. Especially with how bright it was.
The way there was filled with plenty of jokes and serious talks. The group had gone through something traumatic- and it showed. Thankfully, however, they all took it in stride. Tea even went the extra mile and reenacted his pummeling of Plasma grunts to an aptly-horrified Tex, who reacted by swearing fealty to the team and promising their utmost protection, which got even more laughs out of everyone.
Tex was the only one not laughing.
Eventually, however, the band of travelers arrived in Nimbasa...
